Entertainer Jennifer Lopez and baseball star Alex Rodriguez are looking to shed a Malibu beach house from their portfolio that they purchased less than two years ago in February of 2019. The power couple is asking $8 million for the three-story what Lopez calls “a little fixer-upper next to the water” on Malibu Road. The couple paid former owner and actor Jeremy Piven $6.6 million. Piven purchased the home for $3.5 million in 2004 and listed it for $10.5 million in 2017 following buying a home in Laurel Canyon.
The 4,400 square feet home features five bedrooms with 4.5 bathrooms and 50 feet of wet/dry beach frontage. Water facing porches wraparound the two lower levels and the third level has a balcony that also faces the water. Some walls were reframed and the electrical as well as plumbing systems were recently redone.
