Angelina Jolie has sold her historic Los Feliz estate, the former home of Hollywood pioneer Cecil B. DeMille, for $24.75 million. The sale was reported on September 24, 2026, about four months after the property hit the market in May at $29.85 million. Jolie bought the estate in 2017 for $24.5 million, so she comes out roughly $250,000 ahead before transaction costs.

The listing was held by Jon Grauman of Resident Group, alongside Ernie Carswell of Sotheby’s International Realty. The buyer has not been identified, and no buyer’s agent has been named in public reports.

A piece of old Hollywood

The estate sits at 2000 DeMille Drive inside Laughlin Park, a gated enclave of Los Feliz. The original house dates to 1913, and DeMille reportedly bought it in 1916 for $28,000. He lived there for more than four decades, later adding a neighboring house tied to Charlie Chaplin and joining the two.

Today the compound covers nearly 2 acres with about 11,000 square feet of living space.

Why Jolie is selling

Jolie bought the estate in 2017, shortly after separating from Brad Pitt, as a base for her six children. “When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety,” she has said of the home.

She has said publicly that she stayed in Los Angeles because of her custody arrangement and would leave once her youngest children were adults. Her twins, Knox and Vivienne, turned 18 on July 12, 2026. Jolie has no single new home base announced; reports say she plans to split time between her adult children, her home in Cambodia and international work.

The agent behind the deal

Jon Grauman is one of Los Angeles’ best-known luxury brokers and a cast member of Netflix’s Buying Beverly Hills. He and partner Adam Rosenfeld have closed more than $3 billion in combined career sales, focused on Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Holmby Hills and the Hollywood Hills.

Grauman previously led the Grauman Rosenfeld Group at The Agency, Mauricio Umansky’s brokerage. In June 2025, he and Rosenfeld left to launch Resident Group on the Side platform, opening with about 15 agents and roughly $900 million in listings. His wife, Lauren Grauman, is the firm’s CEO.

The Jolie listing, co-represented with Sotheby’s veteran Ernie Carswell, is one of Resident Group’s most high-profile closings since the launch.

What the price says

The final number landed about 17% under the original ask. It still ranks among the priciest sales in Los Feliz, where top-tier estates rarely trade. For the buyer, it is a rare chance to own one of the few intact studio-era compounds left in Los Angeles, with a celebrity provenance running from DeMille to Jolie.
